Every aspect of our network has been designed for maximum redundancy. Every server has an active/passive automatic failover uplink, to two individual Cisco switches which each have a dedicated 1Gbps uplink to the datacentre’s redundant core switches.
We utilise dual power feeds from the datacentre to our server cabinets, these are distributed by APC power distribution bars to provide dual power feeds to every server.
Our Dell and Supermicro servers are protected by hardware RAID10 for all storage. In the unlikely event of any failures, we hold a full stock inventory of every component in our network, located on-site for prompt replacement.
The Maidenhead facility has been specified to the UK Data Centre Uptime Institute and EU Code on Conduct specifications for Tier 2 resiliency. The site is supported by multiple diversely supplied 2 MW on site substation. This is distributed to n+1 PowerWave UPS systems for critical load. The UPS’s are protected by multiple AKSA generators with 30 hours of fuel storage at full load onsite. There is a guaranteed contract to provide fuel to maintain 30 hours of fuel capacity.
This datacenter features a full concrete hardened structure with 18′ to 24′ ceillings. Over 40,000 Square Feet of Datacenter Space. Multicarrier network with OC-X and Dark Fiber availability.
High availability managed network through redundant Cisco gigabit infrastructure. 24 x 7 controlled access to datacenter and colocations. Security, video surveillance and motion sensing systems in place.
Redundant air conditioning and humidity controlled environment. Automated power failover systems with diesel generator backup. Onsite Diesel backup generator on standby.
Power is designed and conditioned to run seamlessly through UPS systems. Active monitoring and testing ensures power reliability. The datacenter is air conditioned by N+1 units capable of sustained usage during generator use. Air quality is monitored and cleaned through air handlers. Temperature and Humidity is controlled at 70 degrees at 50% humidity.
